Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Neonatal Medicine

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at McGill University seeks a full‑time academic clinician neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatal Medicine and Follow‑Up. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical), determined by the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care to acutely ill newborns in the NICU and out‑born infants transferred from across Quebec.
• Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Lead and contribute to research programs in quality improvement, hemodynamics, physiological monitoring, and neonatal neurocritical care.
• Collaborate with the Neonatal Follow‑Up team to ensure continuity of care for NICU graduates.
• Engage in departmental service, including neonatal transport coordination and interdisciplinary case discussions.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty training in Neonatology.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly activity.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Canada.
• Strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of newborns and their families.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in neonatal intensive care.
• Experience in neonatal research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary academic hospital environment.
