Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service and leading store operations. This role focuses on team leadership, inventory oversight, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for both customers and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Model courteous and efficient customer service while handling and resolving complaints.
• Lead and motivate store employees, encouraging ownership of performance and career development.
• Communicate with internal departments to drive overall business results.
• Coordinate with buyers on inventory selection and supervise merchandising activities.
• Manage stock levels, material handling, and product inventory.
• Plan and execute store events successfully.
• Recruit, evaluate, and schedule staff to meet productivity and profitability goals.
• Provide ongoing training and succession planning for team members.
• Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures.
• Uphold store policies, procedures, and a culture of inclusiveness.

Required skills
