Assistant Store Manager – Boardwalk Store

About the role

Join Urban Barn’s Boardwalk store in Waterloo as a full‑time Assistant Store Manager. You’ll help customers create homes they love while supporting the store manager in running an inspiring furniture and home décor shop. The role requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers in their décor choices.
• Ensure the achievement of sales objectives.
• Communicate expectations to the team and provide training, coaching, and feedback.
• Manage store merchandising, inventory, and shrink.
• Lead and maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of retail sales management experience.
• Experience achieving sales targets.
• Passion for interior décor and merchandising.
• Proven ability to coach and develop a team of top performers.
• Commitment to a flexible schedule with open availability.
• Ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lb (23 kg).
