About the role
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor on the tenure‑track. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community, contribute to teaching, research, and clinical service, and lead a research program focused on gynecologic cancers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an independent research program within the Molecular and Advanced Pathology Core.
- Lead analysis of high‑dimensional, clinically annotated gynecologic cancer datasets, including spatial transcriptomics.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in pathology and laboratory medicine.
- Provide clinical service as a gynecologic pathologist.
- Secure external funding and mentor graduate students and post‑doctoral fellows.
Required profile
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree with licensure (or eligibility) as a clinical gynecologic pathologist in British Columbia.
- Subspecialty training in gynecologic pathology.
- Demonstrated research potential and a record of grant success.
- Strong computational biology expertise.
