About the role
The Department of Zoology at the University of British Columbia seeks an Assistant Professor to lead an innovative research program in Cell and Developmental Biology. This tenure‑track position begins no earlier than July 1 2027 and offers a competitive salary.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an internationally competitive, externally funded research program.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cell and developmental biology.
- Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
- Contribute to departmental, university, and scientific community service.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant biological discipline.
- Post‑doctoral experience with a proven research record (publications, funding).
