In-Home & In-Person Primary, Junior & Intermediate Tutor

About the role

Join Prep Academy Tutors as an in‑home and in‑person tutor for Primary, Junior and Intermediate students across Vancouver. You will deliver personalized, curriculum‑aligned instruction that helps learners build confidence, strengthen foundational skills and achieve academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Empower students with personalized academic support aligned with the British Columbia Curriculum across Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions.
• Tutor core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies/History and Geography, developing customized learning plans for each student.
• Provide remedial assistance, enrichment opportunities, and preparation for assessments, projects and presentations.
• Help students build strong study, organization, time‑management and independent learning skills.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about progress and goals.

Required profile

• Current, valid registration with the BC Ministry of Education or a certified teacher in Canada/US (or in process).
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Education program or experience as a lecturer/instructor at an accredited college or university.
• Experience tutoring or teaching Primary, Junior and/or Intermediate students and familiarity with the BC Curriculum.
• Reliable transportation to travel to students’ homes within the Vancouver service area.
• Passion for helping students build confidence, foundational skills and academic independence.
