Assistant Operations Manager

About the role

Envy Consulting Group is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support a fast‑growing food distribution and logistics company located near the airport in Etobicoke. This hands‑on role provides exposure to all core functions of the business and offers a clear path to a full Operations Manager position.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily warehouse, inventory, logistics, procurement and sales operations.
• Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, stock rotation and replenishment planning.
• Assist with logistics scheduling, distribution coordination and customer order follow‑up.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost control.
• Help enforce SOPs, health & safety standards and regulatory compliance (MTO, CFIA, MOL).
• Oversee maintenance of warehouse facilities and company vehicles.
• Lead monthly JHSC meetings and maintain related documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in operations, warehouse, logistics or distribution environments.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on setting.
• Ability to support extended hours during peak periods.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
