About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee daily retail operations at our Black Bear Mini Mart in Kelowna. The role involves managing staff, handling merchandise, and ensuring excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for budgeting, market analysis, and resolving operational issues, working flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, nights, days, and weekends as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and control daily store operations, including planning and organizing activities.
- Manage staff, assign duties, and conduct performance reviews.
- Analyze market research and trends to determine consumer demand and set merchandise strategy.
- Select, locate, and procure merchandise for resale.
- Plan budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of retail management experience.
