About the role

JYSK Canada is hiring an Assistant Manager in Campbell River. You will support the store management team in embedding company values and customer promises through modelling, coaching and high-quality instruction, help implement a sales and merchandising plan, and foster an engaged team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support the store management team in instilling company values and customer promises
• Help implement a sales and merchandising plan
• Assist with loss prevention, including prevention strategies and investigations
• Assist with store stock management, merchandising and pricing to maximise category sales
• Deliver and meet sales budgets and goals for your department

Required profile

• Dynamic, positive personality with strong leadership skills
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where priorities shift
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• 2 years of experience in retail management and customer service
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Physical demands include walking, standing, climbing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying, and using ladders and stock pickers

What we offer

• Hiring range of $42,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on location and experience
