Assistant Front Store Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Front Store Manager to support the Front Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, staff, and financial performance of a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store. The role focuses on ensuring smooth product flow, excellent customer experience, and adherence to store standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain store standards and optimize the customer experience on the sales floor and backroom.
• Assist with labour scheduling and use Work Force Management tools to maximise productivity.
• Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs and support hiring for all non‑pharmacy departments.
• Manage inventory, control expenses, and uphold wage administration guidelines.
• Promote the company’s culture, engage staff, and lead by core values.

Required profile

• Previous retail management experience with a proven ability to drive business results.
• Strong planning, judgement and decision‑making skills, especially for inventory and expense control.
• Effective time‑management, organization and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching and communication abilities.
