Assembler – Accessory Shop (Kanata)

About the role

As an Assembler in the Accessory Shop located in Kanata, you will join a team that services aircraft components such as wheels, brakes and landing gear. Reporting to the Manager, Accessory Shop, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing and re‑assembling parts to meet strict aviation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble and prepare parts for repair using hand tools, cleaners and paint removal products.
• Inspect components, identify defects and complete off‑aircraft work to required specifications.
• Assemble aircraft components using approved data, tooling and calibrated measuring instruments (micrometer, height gauge, calipers) to meet tolerance requirements.
• Label parts accurately during removal and complete required paperwork.
• Follow Voyageur safety practices, company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a related field; aviation experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow written and verbal English instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Capability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, drawings and other technical publications.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficient use of hand tools for aircraft component work.
• Experience with calibrated measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and calipers.
• Interpretation of maintenance manuals and technical drawings for assembly tasks.
