AS400 (IBM iSeries) Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Administrator to join our team in Mississauga. The role involves managing IBM iSeries environments, ensuring system stability, and supporting critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform IBM iSeries administration, including system installation, PTF deployment, software installation, configuration, custom development and security.
• Execute performance analysis and system tuning for optimal performance.
• Isolate, define, resolve and follow‑up on system, application and customer issues.
• Manage capacity expansion of servers (disk, memory, CPU, adapters) and patch management.
• Maintain HA/DRS environments, site recovery concepts and HMC firmware updates.
• Install, configure and support third‑party software, Vision Solutions MIMIX/iTera, BRMS, Advance Job Scheduler/Robot Scheduler.
• Rebuild production and development servers when necessary.
• Design, install and manage IBMi and HMC servers, backup solutions and replication software.
• Lead audit activities for the IBMi team and provide Level 3 support.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on AS400 administration experience at Level 3.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑resolution skills.
• Ability to manage audits and provide senior‑level support to the IBMi team.
