Area HR Business Partner – Ontario

About the role

UNIQLO is seeking an Area Human Resources Business Partner for Ontario to support store managers and sales teams. This field‑based HR role focuses on employee engagement, productivity, and alignment with the company’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR advisor for store managers, assistant managers and area managers.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Manage progressive discipline, disciplinary meetings and termination processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HRIS enrollment for new hires.
• Partner with recruiters to fill mid‑level management roles and support onboarding of store associates.
• Develop and deliver training programs, monitor workforce trends, and implement engagement strategies.
• Support regional planning, staff development and serve as backup HRBP for Québec when needed.
• Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee activities and produce weekly HR reports.
• Travel up to three days per week to stores in the Toronto GTA or Ottawa region.

Required profile

• University degree or post‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety legislation.
• Experience advising managers on employee relations and conducting investigations.
• Ability to travel regularly across the assigned region.
