Area Construction Coordinator – LNG Project

About the role

The Area Construction Coordinator will support Woodfibre LNG’s construction phase, reporting directly to the Site Construction Manager. This role leads a functional area, ensuring daily and weekly planning aligns with Operating System Requirements (OSR), the Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP), and all business line requirements while coordinating owner activities with the EPC contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily and weekly short‑range planning down to the foreman/superintendent level.
• Supervise and coordinate all owner activities that support EPC contractor progress on‑site.
• Oversee EPC contractor field construction to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, quality and safety standards.
• Monitor and report project schedule and cost performance, optimizing use of manpower, materials, tools and equipment.
• Contribute to the development of contractor and company project schedules in collaboration with construction engineers and planners.
• Review design scope for constructability and approve change recommendations.
• Manage contractor manpower levels and craft mixes to meet schedule milestones.
• Support change‑management processes, ensuring scope changes are documented and approved before work execution.
• Implement site safety, security procedures and project work rules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction management on large‑scale industrial projects.
• Ability to lead a functional area and make decisions impacting schedule, cost, and compliance.
• Strong communication skills for daily interaction with EPC contractors and internal teams.
• Familiarity with construction safety, quality, and environmental standards.
