About the role

The Annual Retail Summit Internship offers a short‑term, hands‑on experience supporting the Bensadoun School of Retail Management’s flagship event. Working on campus, you will join a dynamic team that delivers a multi‑day summit for retail professionals, scholars, and students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the overall Annual Retail Summit team in planning and execution of event activities.
• Greet guests, manage registration, and provide on‑site support.
• Print and distribute name tags using the CVENT platform.
• Help set up event spaces before the summit and tear down afterward.
• Capture photographs of sessions and networking moments.

Required profile

• Current enrolment in a McGill BCom, MMR, MBA, or MMA program with a retail concentration, preferably focusing on finance, analytics, or information systems.
• Strong critical‑thinking abilities and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Client‑focused attitude with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using CVENT for event registration and badge printing.
