Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our client’s hybrid team in Toronto. The role focuses on delivering end‑to‑end digital self‑service IAM solutions while ensuring high performance and excellent user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end solutions across Digital Self‑Service IAM, maintaining high performance standards.
• Drive application development across the full digital stack to enable the product team to leverage IAM systems.
• Own the full stack from backend infrastructure and APIs to frontend Android applications, ensuring seamless integration.
• Partner with technology leadership on roadmap delivery for Digital & Cyber Security, aligning with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the digital team to synchronize feature releases, optimise costs, and manage technical debt.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in native Android development.
• Hands‑on architectural design experience using patterns such as VIPER, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
• Proficiency with Android Studio and modern Android libraries (Kotlin, Java, RxJava, Dagger, Coroutines, Flows).
• Strong focus on UI development with Jetpack Compose and a passion for great customer experiences.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical ideas to product and senior leadership.
• Experience with GitHub, third‑party SDK integration, and consuming RESTful JSON services.
• Background in test automation using Appium and building scalable automation frameworks.
