Alumni Engagement Associate

About the role

The Alumni Engagement Associate supports University Advancement in building strong relationships with alumni, volunteers and donors. Working within a dynamic team, the role contributes to the planning and execution of events, communications and fundraising initiatives that enhance alumni involvement worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Organize daily administrative tasks and implement procedures to support unit operations.
• Identify, recruit and train students and volunteers for fundraising campaigns and alumni activities.
• Present philanthropy concepts to students and alumni at seminars, class presentations and other events.
• Research data to pinpoint prospective donors and volunteers.
• Plan and coordinate meetings, conferences, luncheons and fundraising events, including venue and catering selection within budget guidelines.
• Prepare and manage event budgets and related financial documentation.
• Produce written materials such as campaign letters, stewardship newsletters, donor correspondence and proposals.
• Compile statistics and data for reports and update printed or web‑based documents.
• Assist with website design updates and social‑media feeds to ensure accurate information.
• Build effective working relationships, assess needs and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Experience presenting to groups and engaging diverse audiences.
• Ability to train and supervise volunteers and student assistants.
• Research and analytical skills for donor identification.
• Event planning and budgeting experience.
• Effective written communication for creating outreach materials.
