All‑Purpose Front End Clerk (Part‑Time)

About the role

Join Safeway as an All‑Purpose Front End Clerk and help create a quick, easy, and efficient shopping experience for customers. No prior experience is required and full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and provide superior customer service.
• Process cash, cheque, credit, gift card and debit transactions at the register.
• Stock shelves with dairy, frozen, produce and non‑perishable items and rotate products.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkout areas and build merchandise displays.
• Load and unload merchandise, manage back‑room inventory and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Required profile

• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly motivated, team‑oriented and able to communicate clearly.
• Available for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to work safely and responsibly.

Required skills

• Use of point‑of‑sale (POS) computer systems.
• Basic cash handling and register operation.
