About the role
The Home Depot Canada is seeking a part‑time Flooring Sales Associate for its South Keys store in Ottawa. You will help customers find the right flooring solutions, guide them through the buying process, and promote related services.
Key responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and thank every customer while actively seeking shoppers throughout the store.
- Ask open‑ended questions to understand project needs, recommend product options (good, better, best) and related services such as tool rental, Pro Desk, and special services.
- Maintain department presentation: sign, display, and keep products clean; execute daily stock maintenance.
- Follow safety, loss‑prevention, and security policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of retail or trade experience is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and moving items.
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends.
Required skills
- Strong product knowledge of flooring and adjacent departments.
- Effective communication and customer‑focus skills.
