AI/ML Platform Developer (Contract)

About the role

Our client, a Fortune 500 global enterprise software and ERP provider, is seeking an AI/ML Platform Developer to join the Business Data Cloud Foundation Infrastructure team. This 12‑month contract role is hybrid, requiring on‑site presence three days a week in Vancouver.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and operations to design and maintain build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling.
• Develop secure backend services and automation tools that support the full lifecycle of AI/ML features.
• Provide infrastructure expertise for cloud integration, CI/CD automation, and modern service architecture.
• Translate complex cross‑functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Lead design reviews, produce technical documentation, and present work through demos and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in SRE/DevOps, systems engineering, cloud operations, or automation within enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure (or equivalent BTP).
• Experience with container technologies: Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker.
• Building and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, Flux CD, GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of modern load balancers (HAProxy, NGINX) and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to write production‑grade code in Python, Java, or similar languages.
