AI Augmented Developer

About the role

LGI Healthcare Solutions, which has built software for healthcare organizations for over 40 years, is hiring an AI Augmented Developer in Montreal. The role uses AI to accelerate development, improve software quality and automate low-value tasks, so teams can focus on complex problems. Depending on your profile, you will either develop with AI or build AI.

Key responsibilities

• Develop with AI: use agentic AI tools and AI Ops to speed up the software development lifecycle, automate low-value tasks, evolve existing solutions with new features, modernization and integrations, and share AI-assisted development best practices with the team.
• Build AI: design and deploy data pipelines and ML architectures in production, build solutions based on LLMs, RAG and vector search grounded in real clinical data, integrate models into operational workflows, and help maintain the quality and performance of AI solutions in production.
• In both paths, deliver software that has a concrete impact for healthcare professionals and patients.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English, as the role involves bilingual documentation and communication with French and English-speaking partners, clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Quick learner with strong autonomy, able to understand complex systems and find concrete solutions.
• Solid foundations in object-oriented programming and algorithmic logic.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, initiative, intellectual curiosity and ambition to grow.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new skills and technologies.

Required skills

• Programming with object-oriented foundations and algorithmic logic.
• Experience in programming, cloud environments, systems integration, AI feature development, B2B enterprise solutions or regulated environments is an asset.
