AI Augmented Developer II (Espresso)

About the role

LGI Healthcare Solutions, which has built software for the healthcare sector for over 40 years, is hiring an AI Augmented Developer II (Espresso) in Montreal. The role sits within a Scrum team focused on redesigning administrative software for Quebec's healthcare network, using AI tools, models and development practices to speed up delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application modules using AI in a technical environment covering C/C++, C#/.NET and Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Generate, validate and improve unit tests with AI assistance, and write technical documentation with AI tools.
• Take part in code reviews, especially regarding AI-generated code, and use AI to explore existing codebases quickly.
• Develop AI-augmented features and contribute to the design of AI models or integrations as needed.
• Own deliverables from understanding business requirements through testing, documentation and production deployment.
• Act as a Level 3 resource for production and operational support and collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers and the Product Owner.
• Follow Quebec compliance standards (Law 25 and LSSSS) and promote continuous improvement across teams.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience developing in C/C++ and C#/.NET.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases (PL/SQL) and experience with Visual Studio 2022/2026.
• Daily use of AI development tools with measurable productivity gains, and ability to critique AI-generated code, tests and documentation.
• Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
• Nice to have: CI/CD, DevExpress, Citrix Server, Java, Jira and Confluence, Agile, HR systems, and knowledge of the Quebec healthcare sector.

Required skills

• C/C++, C#/.NET, Oracle PL/SQL, Git, object-oriented programming and algorithmic thinking.
• Nice to have: experience with enterprise B2B software, database-driven and cloud applications, and AI-augmented features.
