Adjunct Instructor – Taxation (ACCT 508)

About the role

Calvin University School of Business seeks an adjunct instructor to teach ACCT 508 – Taxation during the Fall 2026 semester. The course introduces fundamental tax principles for corporations and partnerships, covering entity‑related tax implications, multi‑state and international taxation, not‑for‑profit taxation, and sales/use/value‑added tax.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course materials using appropriate pedagogical strategies.
• Facilitate classroom instruction in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:40‑10:20 a.m.
• Track attendance, submit grades, and maintain timely communication with students, faculty, and staff.
• Complete required university training modules and comply with all employment policies.
• Support Calvin University’s mission and its commitment to a diverse, multicultural community.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in accounting or a related business field.
• Five or more years of teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional methods and technology.
• Commitment to the Christian faith and willingness to integrate that faith into teaching.
• Affirmation of the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
