Addictions Specialist – Lifespan (Full‑Time)

About the role
The Addictions Specialist (lifespan) will join the Mobile Mental Health & Addictions Clinic team, reporting to the MMHAC Team Lead. The role involves assessing, planning, coordinating and supporting addiction‑related services for clients of all ages, using evidence‑based approaches such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive screening and assessment using tools such as OCAN, Integrated Assessment Record, GAIN‑SS and GAIN‑Q3.
- Develop, implement and monitor individualized recovery plans, providing psycho‑education, crisis support and counseling.
- Collaborate with community partners and external providers to reduce barriers and expand access to services.
- Deliver evidence‑based interventions (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing) and facilitate therapy or skills‑building groups.
- Maintain accurate client records, ensure confidentiality, and comply with funding and accreditation requirements.
Required profile
- BSW preferred or equivalent education.
- Membership in good standing with a relevant professional college or association.
- 3–5 years of experience in addiction services, preferably in community‑based or outpatient settings.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews, screenings and clinical assessments.
- Formal training in CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
