About the role
The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the Office Manager by handling collections, processing payments, and maintaining charge accounts in line with company policy.
Key responsibilities
- Process customer payments and follow the branch collection strategy.
- Monitor accounts for non‑payment, skipped invoices, and partial payments.
- Communicate collection status to management and organize recovery efforts.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly closing statements and related reports.
- Contact customers via phone, email or mail to arrange payment on delinquent accounts.
- Perform credit reference checks and report findings.
- Investigate and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
- Submit accounts for bad‑debt write‑off and send invoices for payment.
- Assist with general office tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel for aging and past‑due account summaries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including telephone etiquette.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and teamwork orientation.
- Detail‑oriented with solid organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Experience in collection efforts and general business procedures.
- Accurate data‑entry skills and basic business experience.
