Accounting Technician – Full‑time Permanent Role

About the role
We are seeking an Accounting Technician to join Gros Morne Gas Bar in St. Pauls, Newfoundland and Labrador. This full‑time permanent position is based on‑site and will support the company’s day‑to‑day financial operations.
Key responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
- Maintain financial records, general ledgers and trial balances using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports.
- Prepare trial balance of books.
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Successful criminal record check.
- High accuracy, strong dependability and excellent oral and written communication skills.
