Accounting Specialist – Hybrid (Markham, Ontario)

About the role

CrossSafety is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to support its finance team in Markham, Ontario. The role is hybrid, combining office and remote work, and focuses on managing consultants’ time and expense data for payroll and client billing.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and verify consultants’ timesheets and expense reports in NetSuite for accurate payroll and client invoicing.
• Educate field staff on resolving discrepancies within the NetSuite system.
• Produce internal reports on time entries and expenses.
• Identify and suggest process improvements.
• Perform accounts payable functions for designated accounts.
• Assist with invoicing, accounts receivable, and other finance team tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in accounting.
• 4–5 years of accounting experience in a high‑volume construction or transportation environment.
• Experience processing timesheets, expense reports, and accounts payable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate discrepancies professionally.

Required skills

• Oracle NetSuite.
• Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• Microsoft Office.
