Accounting Manager (Hybrid)

About the role
BGO Properties is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of property accounting professionals. This hybrid role supports the delivery of accurate financial information for over 400 commercial properties across Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Directly supervise 3‑4 property accounting staff and oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations.
- Ensure timely completion of annual activities such as property budgets, cash‑flow forecasting, operating cost recovery adjustments, property taxes and audits.
- Manage monthly accounting cycles, including month‑end close, cash‑flow reporting and financial statements.
- Review accounting activities for compliance with GAAP, client policies and deadlines.
- Resolve conflicts, make decisions, and provide guidance to staff and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with site staff, leasing teams, management and clients to deliver responsive service and financial advice.
Required profile
- Proven experience supervising accounting teams in a property or real‑estate environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and property tax processes.
- Ability to plan, monitor and meet tight deadlines for annual and monthly deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff, management and clients.
