Accounting Co‑op – Cross‑Border Tax (Jan 2027)

About the role

Davidson & Company is seeking a co‑op student to join its Cross‑Border Tax practice for an eight‑month term starting January 2027. You will work alongside experienced CPAs, gaining hands‑on experience with personal and corporate tax filings for Canadian and U.S. clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing personal tax returns, including cross‑border filings for U.S. persons resident in Canada and U.S. citizens.
• Develop and apply knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and U.S. Internal Revenue Code for corporate tax compliance, preparing returns and computing taxes for various entities.
• Utilize various tax tools and software throughout Canadian and U.S. engagements, collaborating with the engagement team to build strong relationships.
• Gain rotational experience across multiple specialty areas within the tax practice.

Required profile

• Working towards the prerequisites for admission into the CPA PEP with the intention to pursue the CPA designation (preferred).
• Previous accounting‑related office experience is considered an asset.
• Customer service or client service experience is considered an asset.
