About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team at Canadian Fiber Optics. The role involves preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, handling tax filings, and supporting audit activities while contributing to the growth of our broadband network.
Key responsibilities
- Perform full‑cycle accounting, including month‑end journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare federal, local and special tax returns.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and resolve audit findings.
- Support the development and improvement of accounting systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with network planning to monitor utilization for expansion planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- CPA designation or working towards CPA.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax laws.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
