Accountant – Full‑Time, Permanent in South Surrey, BC

About the role

We are searching for an experienced Accountant to join the team in South Surrey, BC, supporting the ALPINE operation within a global industrial group. The role involves maintaining the general ledger, financial reporting, and ensuring tax and payroll compliance in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare and submit financial reports and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GST/PST and payroll regulations.
• Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Collaborate with business leaders on day‑to‑day operations.
• Support payroll processing and month‑end close activities.
• Work with the external auditor to support the year‑end audit process.
• Meet tight deadlines and reporting requirements across global entities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP essential).
• Experience with ERP systems (D365 or Pronto desired but not essential).
• Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/PST).
• Experience with Dayforce/Powerpay payroll systems preferred.
• CPA designation or working towards it is advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
