Accountant – Full‑Time (Kelowna)

About the role

Canada West Garage Doors, a trusted provider of overhead doors and gate systems in the Okanagan Valley, is seeking an Accountant to join its Kelowna team. The role combines finance, bookkeeping and administrative support, reporting to the Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks, including accounts payable, receivable, cheque preparation and electronic payments.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements, manage petty cash and process bank deposits.
• Prepare payroll, process expense claims and manage calendar for government remittances (payroll, GST, WCB).
• Collaborate with DCI Finance Team and external accountants to prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns.
• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide general administrative support such as filing, document archiving, monitoring mail and managing office supplies and vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Office Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in bookkeeping and payroll.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with a focus on confidentiality.
• Excellent critical‑thinking, attention to detail and time‑management abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current work authorization in Canada; sponsorship is not available.
