Accountant – Full-time, On-site in Laval

About the role

Transport Fortuna is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Laval office. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s logistics operations across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and billing.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month‑end / year‑end closing activities.
• Generate financial reports, assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with operations and management to provide financial insights for business decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in transportation or logistics.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is an asset.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Effective communication in both French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Quickbooks (mandatory).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience using ERP systems and other accounting software.
