Yard Loader Operator – Full‑time

About the role

RCI Aggregates is seeking a full‑time Yard Loader Operator to support its recycling operations in the Edmonton area. The successful candidate will operate heavy equipment, manage material handling, and ensure safe, efficient yard operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a loader and excavator equipped with a breaker to move concrete and asphalt rubble.
• Maintain equipment and schedule regular service to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Load, scale, and ticket material onto trucks, and manage truck traffic and customer sales.
• Build and maintain rubble stockpiles, perform yard upkeep and security tasks.
• Record all scale tickets, safety documents, and equipment pre‑trip checks using mobile applications.
• Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience operating a loader and loading trucks.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work extended hours outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for reporting and ticketing.
• Pass a medical/fitness exam as a condition of employment.
