About the role
The Visiting Homemaker provides essential personal care and household support to clients in their own homes. This full‑time, permanent position involves bedside assistance, medication administration, meal preparation and light housekeeping, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for individuals who need daily support.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including assistance with bathing, hygiene and mobility.
- Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately.
- Assist clients with feeding, nutrition and preparation of balanced meals.
- Support regular exercise routines such as walking.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and mend clothing or linens.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain basic security and safety standards, including a basic security clearance.
Required profile
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
- Basic security clearance and at least one reference.
- Optional live‑in accommodation available at no charge (not a condition of employment).
