Truck Dispatcher

About the role

Delta Shipping Ltd is seeking a Truck Dispatcher in Calgary to coordinate vehicle operators, manage shipment records, and ensure smooth transportation operations. The role involves coordinating dispatch activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain work records, logs, mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses.
• Monitor personnel workloads, locations and dispatch staff according to schedules and work orders.
• Communicate with ships, aircraft and remote operations to coordinate shipments.
• Keep track of shipments and ensure compliance with highway trucking rules and regulations.
• Maintain vehicle operator work records and ensure timely updates.
• Process and transmit information and instructions using dispatching equipment to coordinate vehicle operators and crews.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to work various shifts (morning, day, evening).
• Knowledge of highway trucking regulations.
• Work setting in the transportation sector.
