Water Transfer Technician – Red Deer (Contract)

About the role

Sideworx Connect is seeking experienced Water Transfer Technicians for projects in the Red Deer, Alberta region. The role involves moving water from source to site, ensuring safe and efficient delivery under varying field conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate water transfer equipment such as pumps, crew trucks, filtration units and equipment trailers.
• Perform routine equipment inspections to confirm proper working order.
• Rig in and rig out water transfer or lease operations.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and client‑provided regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years water transfer experience and 5 years related oil‑field experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract and proof of $5 million liability insurance.
• Current certifications in First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO (TDG & WHMIS) – provided by the employer.
• Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of pumps and flow dynamics.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a safe environment.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Capability to handle physically demanding tasks, lifting up to 50 lb.
