Trailer Technician – Maintenance & Repair

About the role

Bluewater Trailers is seeking a dedicated Trailer Technician to join our Strathroy workshop. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of trailers and related equipment, ensuring they are safe and ready for customer use.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair wiring and electrical issues on trailers.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections on new and existing trailers.
• Repair or replace defective components and conduct minor welding as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment, including tractors, to unload trailer loads and move units within the yard.
• Install accessories such as E‑track, D‑rings, spare‑tire mounts, ladder racks and other customer‑requested options.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and yard, and keep accurate paperwork for each task.
• Provide courteous service to customers, assisting with hook‑ups and answering questions.

Required profile

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and solve problems independently.
