Warehouse Associate – Inventory & Shipping

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Associate to join our Fastenal Canada distribution centre in Strathroy, ON. The role involves supporting daily inventory, shipping and receiving operations while ensuring accuracy and safety. This position starts as part‑time with the opportunity to transition to full‑time permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records in the inventory control system.
• Receive, unpack and inspect incoming goods.
• Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documentation.
• Pick, pack and stage orders for shipment or customer pickup.
• Load and unload merchandise, handling items up to 23 kg (50 lb).
• Coordinate billing for services and ensure timely delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols and undergo driving‑record checks.

Required profile

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Physical capability to lift and move items up to 23 kg.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work well in a team.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for using inventory software.
