Traffic Control Construction Coordinator

About the role

The Traffic Control Construction Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of traffic management and staging activities for a major rail transit infrastructure project. Working in a complex urban construction environment, the role ensures safe and efficient construction while minimising impacts on the public, businesses and transit operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary traffic control measures, lane closures, detours and pedestrian management.
• Develop and maintain access plans to support construction activities.
• Monitor compliance with traffic safety regulations and adjust plans as needed.
• Liaise with stakeholders including transit agencies, local authorities and community representatives.
• Document traffic control plans and report on performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in traffic control or construction site traffic management.
• Strong knowledge of urban construction environments and safety standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
