Temporary Supply Planning Associate

About the role

SmartyPants Vitamins is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Temporary Supply Planning Associate. In this role you will partner with Sales, Product Development, Demand Planning, Project Management, Marketing and Fulfillment to shape inventory strategy and ensure smooth execution across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Support inventory replenishment planning for assigned products and materials.
• Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process as a supply resource.
• Provide supply planning input for finished goods and work‑in‑process items.
• Assist with supply chain process improvements and new system implementations.
• Develop and communicate 12‑month rolling forecasts for contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Help calculate savings initiatives and rebates.
• Support product purchasing decisions by evaluating operational, product and financial requirements.
• Maintain supplier relationships, track deliveries, and monitor scorecards and KPIs.
• Drive inventory and working‑capital initiatives for raw materials, components and finished goods.
• Monitor raw‑material availability to meet production needs.
• Collaborate on new product and packaging launches for e‑commerce and wholesale customers.
• Identify and resolve supply issues to protect customer service levels.
• Work with Accounting on inventory reconciliation and with Finance on cash‑flow projections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in supply planning, buying, inventory planning or a similar role.
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel.
• Working knowledge of MRP and supply‑chain planning practices.
• Exposure to lead‑time management and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting or generating purchase orders.
• Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
