Lead Hand Supply Chain

About the role

Evolution Mining is hiring a Lead Hand Supply Chain for its Red Lake operations in Northwestern Ontario, a newly created role within the Commercial team reporting to the Supervisor Supply Chain. The position provides day-to-day operational leadership and technical support for warehouse and logistics activities, supports inventory integrity, employee training and customer service, and acts as the primary operational contact for the warehouse team when the supervisor is unavailable. It is a residential role on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster of 12-hour shifts, with a stated compensation range of $105,000 - $130,000.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving, storage, picking, dispatch and delivery, and allocate and prioritize work for Supply Chain Technicians.
• Monitor workflows and material movements, resolve operational issues and discrepancies, and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Support inventory accuracy through control practices, verify labelling and storage, assist with stocktakes, audits and reconciliations, and escalate stock shortages.
• Coach and mentor technicians, coordinate onboarding, deliver practical training, conduct competency assessments, maintain records and promote consistent procedures.
• Deliver customer service to internal and external stakeholders, coordinate material deliveries, communicate availability and schedules, and help with urgent requests.
• Lead visibly on safety, ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and security requirements, take part in risk assessments and investigations, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation diploma.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment.
• Experience providing leadership, coaching or training is an asset; Train the Trainer designation preferred or willingness to obtain it.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of computerized ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Competent operation of materials handling equipment.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills, with strong written and verbal communication.
