Temporary Full‑Time Registered Nurse – Medical Unit

About the role

Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a Temporary Full‑Time Registered Nurse to join the Medical Inpatient Unit in Lindsay, Ontario. The role involves delivering acute medical care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, and metabolic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and pneumonia.
• Perform BCLS, IV therapy, and coronary care procedures as required.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and conduct physical assessments at a postgraduate level.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans.
• Participate in the CNO quality‑assurance program and unit committees.

Required profile

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current BCLS and IV certifications.
• Coronary Care 1 certification (post‑graduate) or obtain within six months of hire.
• Post‑graduate Physical Assessment training.
• Minimum three years of acute medical nursing experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
