Telecom Construction Manager

About the role

ELITS Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Accelerate at Iver Group, is seeking a Telecom Construction Manager to lead civil works activities on telecom projects in Mississauga. The role combines project oversight, financial control, scheduling, and quality management while ensuring compliance with all federal, local, and customer regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Control and validate site‑related costs against approved designs.
• Ensure installation of customer‑approved materials and adherence to civil works schedules.
• Coordinate and attend project progress and alignment meetings.
• Provide on‑site supervision where risk to customer operations exists.
• Conduct safety inspections and verify condition of tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot civil works issues and drive resolution during execution.
• Align all site activities across disciplines to meet project objectives.
• Monitor schedules, identify risks, and resolve delays or conflicts.
• Verify that service providers, vendors, and suppliers meet technical specifications and contractual quality standards.
• Enforce compliance with federal, local, and customer safety and construction requirements.
• Perform site pre‑inspections, post‑construction audits, and on‑site quality inspections.
• Provide regular progress reports and status updates to project management.
• Offer technical guidance to service providers and reject non‑compliant materials.

Required profile

• Experience overseeing civil works activities on telecom projects.
• Proven ability to manage financial control, scheduling, and quality management.
• Strong knowledge of federal, local, and customer safety and construction regulations.
• Ability to coordinate with service providers, approved service providers, and internal project teams.
• Excellent on‑site supervision and risk mitigation skills.
