Technician / Apprentice Technician – Service Department

About the role

OpenRoad Lexus Port Moody is seeking a full‑time Technician or Apprentice Technician to join its Service Department. The position offers a dynamic environment with a focus on continuous learning, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and complete repair orders accurately and efficiently, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with the parts department, manage warranty parts, and ensure proper tagging.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and advise the Service Advisor promptly.
• Road‑test vehicles to verify repairs and maintain detailed documentation of work performed.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned and attend factory‑sponsored training.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment and comply with all hazardous‑waste regulations.

Required profile

• Fully licensed automotive technician with a valid Canadian driver’s licence.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work collaboratively within the Service team.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality work and following safety policies.

Required skills

• Operation of automotive equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Vehicle diagnostics and repair according to OEM standards.
• Understanding of factory technical bulletins and warranty procedures.
