Licensed Technician – Pre-Owned Service

About the role

OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody is seeking a full‑time Licensed Technician to work in the Pre‑Owned Service department. You will receive repair orders, perform diagnostics and repairs, and ensure each vehicle meets dealership and factory standards before it leaves the shop.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from the dispatch tower or Service Advisor and complete the work efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed components and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs and advise the Service Advisor of any extra work required.
• Document all work performed, road‑test vehicles for quality, and keep the shop area clean and safe.
• Supervise apprentice technicians when assigned and attend factory‑sponsored training classes.
• Assist in creating quotes for additional work and follow all company safety policies.

Required profile

• Fully licensed automotive technician with a valid Canadian driver’s licence.
• Working knowledge of automotive equipment and strong diagnostic/problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly self‑motivated, organized and able to make sound decisions.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the Service Department team.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality work consistently.
