Team Lead, Technology Risk and Control

About the role

The Team Lead, Technology Risk and Control will oversee Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) initiatives within OPTrust’s IT Operations and Security division. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining risk management processes, leading audit and compliance activities, and managing the change management process for IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team, delegating tasks and conducting regular meetings.
• Develop, enhance and maintain IT General Control (ITGC) review programs and related policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Identify internal control gaps, drive remediation efforts, and monitor remediation progress.
• Lead audit and compliance activities related to IT and security operations.
• Oversee the ITOS Change Management process and ensure alignment with security standards.
• Track vendor agreements, measure performance against SLAs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Advise and educate stakeholders on internal controls and security procedures.
• Prepare and deliver division‑wide communications on risk and control matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading GRC or risk management functions in an IT environment.
• Strong understanding of IT General Controls and audit methodologies.
• Experience managing change management processes and vendor performance.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across IT, security and business teams.
