Team Lead, Support Services

About the role

The Team Lead, Support Services oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the Facilities Service Centre at UBC. Reporting to the Manager, Customer Services, this role ensures consistent, customer‑focused service delivery while driving training and capability initiatives across the Facilities organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Facilities Service Centre, managing workflow, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Provide guidance on complex building and land‑related inquiries and resolve escalated issues.
• Monitor service metrics, error trends and customer feedback; implement process improvements.
• Coordinate and deliver training programs across Facilities, developing accessible learning materials.
• Track training completion and compliance for staff and broader Facilities teams.
• Supervise four Service Centre staff and provide functional leadership for training initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a service‑oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with a minimum of four on‑site days per week.
• Strong collaboration skills with Facilities, HR, Safety & Risk Services, and Customer Services partners.
