Team Lead (Retail)

About the role

The Team Lead bridges the store’s leadership team and sales associates, ensuring smooth daily operations and motivating the team to exceed sales and service goals. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will provide coverage for management and model exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate a customer‑obsessed selling culture and build brand loyalty through product knowledge.
• Partner with store management to execute action plans that optimise results and oversee all store operational activities.
• Contribute ideas that increase productivity and improve store operations.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new associates.
• Coach associates on customer‑service fundamentals and provide positive feedback.
• Resolve customer service matters and delegate tasks to maximise efficiency.
• Communicate performance feedback to store management and ensure scheduled breaks.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including inventory duties as directed.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in a retail apparel environment (luxury retail a plus).
• Proven ability to lead a sales team and be viewed as a leader among peers.
• Experience with POS management, daily banking procedures and timely reporting.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative and available for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
