Team Lead – Management Company Accounting

About the role

Losange Finance is seeking a Team Lead for its Management Company Accounting department in Montreal. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee the full suite of accounting deliverables for a portfolio of venture capital and private equity clients while building a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and execute full‑cycle bookkeeping for VC/PE clients.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Manage government tax remittances (GST/HST, QST, payroll deductions) accurately and on time.
• Lead the year‑end closing process in coordination with external accounting firms.
• Oversee payroll administration through third‑party providers.
• Act as the senior point of contact for client accounting inquiries.
• Build, coach, and manage a team of 3–4 accounting clerks.
• Champion digital accounting tools such as Dext, QuickBooks Online, Plooto, and Financial Cents.
• Implement process improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, and compliance.

Required profile

• Mid‑level management experience in accounting for venture capital or private equity firms.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small accounting team.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as the primary client liaison.
